Modular Fields is built on process-based collaboration. Five musicians join forces, share their aesthetics and thinking, with the goal of co-creating a fresh take on modularity. The concept of modularity extends from exploration of open scores, to friction between historical and contemporary instruments and repertoire, and between complex composition and structured improvisation. The result is a playground for exploration, a kind of poetic chaos in which differences melt into one consolidated identity. Modularity extends to the repertoire itself. William Lawes's broken consort pieces from the 1630s, open-form works from the late 20th century, and a newly created structured improvisation coexist as living material — alongside an intricate, newly composed work for this group. Programme:

• William Lawes: selections from Harp Consort (1630)

• Ernó Király: Actiones (1978)

• Milana Zarić: Intr/action, guided collective improvisation (2026)

• Richard Barrett: phonáessa for violin/voice, harp/voice, viola da gamba and theorbo (2026) Musicians: dejana sekulić, violin/voice Milana Zarić, harp/voice Mauricio Galeano, theorbo Athena Zenker, viola da gamba Richard Barrett, electronics
